Psalms 20

1May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.

2May the LORD send you help from the sanctuary and strengthen you from Zion.

3May the LORD remember all your offerings and accept your burnt sacrifice. Pause and think.

4May the LORD grant your heart's desire and fulfill all your plans.

5We will shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God we will raise our banners. May the LORD fulfill all your requests.

6Now I know the LORD saves the LORD's anointed one; God will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand.

7Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.

8They are brought down and fallen, but we rise up and stand firm.

9Save us, LORD! May the King answer us when we call.
