Old Testament

Psalms 91

Everyone who goes to the Most High God because he wants to be safe will be protected by God Almighty.

I will say to the Lord: You are my Place of Safety, and You will protect me. You are my God, and I trust in You.

The Lord will save you from the trap of people who want to catch you. The Lord will save you from deadly diseases.

You can go to the Lord for protection. The Lord will cover you like a bird spreading its wings over its babies. You can trust The Lord to surround and protect you like a shield.

You will have nothing to fear at night and no need to be afraid of enemy arrows during the day.

You will not be afraid of diseases that come when it is dark, or terrible suffering that comes at noon.

If 1,000 people fall down and die next to you, or even 10,000 die in right beside you, you know that nothing bad will happen to you.

You will see it with your eyes, and you will see how the Lord punishes sinful people.

You trust in the Lord for protection. You have made God Most High your place of safety.

That is why nothing bad will happen to you, and no sickness will come near your home.

The Lord will send his angels to protect you wherever you go.

The angels will hold you up with their hand so that you will not hit your foot on a rock

You will walk upon the lion and poisonous snakes. The young lion and the sea serpent you will stump under your foot.

The Lord says, If someone trusts me, I will save them. I will protect my followers because they know Me and trust my name.

When they pray to Me, I will answer them, and when they are in trouble, I will be with them. I will save and honour them.

I will give them a long and happy life and they will see how I save them.
