Psalms 89

I will sing forever about the Lord’s mercy. I will sing about his faithfulness to all generations!

I will say: Your mercy never ends. It continues forever. You are faithful and You never change, like the heaven above.

God you said: I made a covenant with the man that I chose, and I promised to be with my servant David.

God, you told him: I will bless your family, and one of your descendants will always be king. Pause and think

Lord, the heavens praise you for the amazing things you do. The assembly of holy ones sings about your faithfulness.

There is no one in heaven like the Lord. Not one of the angels can do what He does

God, every one of all the angel who come together fears You. Everyone around You respects You and serves You

Lord, God Almighty, no one is as strong and powerful as You are, and no one is as loving and faithful as You.

You rule over the wild sea when the waves become big and high, and You make them quiet and still.

You defeated Rahab. You scattered your enemies with your own powerful arm.

The Heavens and earth belong to You. Everything in the world belongs to You because You have made them all.

You have decided where north and south must be. Mount Tabor and Mount Hermon sing praises to your name.

Powerful is your arm! Strong is your hand! Your right hand is lifted high in glorious strength.

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; love and faithfulness go before you

Lord, people who know how to rejoice and praise You are very happy people. Those who live with You are happy.

They rejoice all day because they know You, and they tell everyone that You are fair and righteous.

They are strong because You are their amazing strength. We are strong because You love us.

The Lord, The king, our protector, The Lord, is the Holy One of Israel.

Lord, you once spoke in a vision to your followers: I have made a young soldier strong. From among my people, I chose him for an important position.

I have called my servant David and have anointed Davi with my holy oil.

David I will support with my right hand, and my arm will make him strong.

David’s enemies will not be able to defeat him, and no cruel people will defeat him.

I will destroy David’s enemies before his eyes. I will defeat those who hate him.

I will be with David, my love for him will never change, I’m my name David will be strong.

I will also set David’s hand on the Mediterranean Sea, And Davi’s right hand on the rivers of the Euphrates.

David will say to me: You are my Father, my God, my Rock and my Saviour.

I will make David I will make him my firstborn son. David will be the great king on earth.

My love for David will never change. I will always do what I have promised David

David will always have a descendant who will rule, as long as the sun is in the sky.

If David’s children forget my laws and stop obeying my commands,

If David’s children break my laws and disobey my commandments,

Then I will punish David’s children sin with the rod of discipline, and correct David’s children wickedness with stripes.

But I will never take my love from David. I will never stop being loyal to David.

I will not break my agreement with David, and I will not change the things that I have said.

By my holiness, I made a promise to David, and I will not lie to David.

David’s family and family will go on forever, and one of his family members will rule for as long as the sun is in the sky.

This is sure, as sure as the moon is in the sky as a witness of what God does. Paulse and Think

But Lord have cast off and rejected; Lord have been full of wrath against Your anointed.

Lord you broke the covenant that You had made with your servant. Lord, you have completely dishonored his crown.

You have broken down all the walls around his city and You have let enemies destroy all the strong cities.

Everyone passing by steals from him. His neighbors laugh at him.

You have made his enemies defeat him, and all of them rejoice because they have won.

You have made the king’s sword weak and useless, so he could not stand and win the war.

You took away his crown and You threw his throne on the ground.

You cut his life short. You shamed him Paulse and Think

Lord, for how long will You hide from us? Always? How long will You stay angry and be like a burning fire?

Lord, Remember how short my life is. Lord, Have you created everyone for nothing?

Is there anyone alive who will never die? Will anyone escape the grave? Paulse and Think

Lord, where is the love you showed in the past? You promised David that you would be loyal to his family.

Lord, please remember the bad things that people said to me, your servant. How I bear in my heart the reproach of all the many peoples,

Lord, those people who mock me are your enemies, and they laugh at everything I do, I, your anointed servant.

Praise the Lord forever. Amen and amen.
