Psalms 47

1Everyone, clap your hands. Shout with joy to God!

2Because the Lord is the Highest God, and everyone must fear Him. He is the Great King who rules all the earth.

3He helped us defeat other nations. He put those people under our control.

4He chose the land that He wanted to give us, the excellent land of Jacob whom He loved. Stop and Think

5God has ascended with shouting, The LORD with the sound of a trumpet.

6Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises!

7God is the King of all the earth. sing ye praises.

8God rules over all the nations. God sits on his holy throne.

9The leaders of the nations have come together with the people of the God of Abraham. All the rulers of the world belong to God. He is over them all!
