Psalms 46

1God protects us and makes us strong. He is ready to help us in times of trouble.

2We will not be afraid, even if earthquakes come and the mountains fall into the sea.

3Let the waters be load and foam, and its raging waves shake the mountains.

4There is a river which makes the people happy in the city of God, the holy place of the Highest God.

5God is in that city, so it will never be destroyed. He is there to help even before sunrise.

6People will make noises, and kingdoms and lands are destroyed. When God speaks, the earth melts away.

7The Lord who rules over all people is with us. The God of Jacob protects us. Stop and Think

8Come and see what the Lord has done. who has done fearsome deeds on earth.

9He stops wars all over the world. He breaks all the bows and arrows and spears. He burns all the war-chariots with fire.

10Stop doing what you are doing and know that that I am God, I am high above all people, and high above the earth.’

11The Lord who rules over all people is with us. The God of Jacob protects us. Stop and Think
