Old Testament

Psalms 99

The Lord is King, and people tremble. The Lord sits as King between the cherubims, so let the whole earth shake.

The Lord is great in Zion. The Lord is exalted above all the peoples

Lord, let them praise your great and wonderful name. Your name is holy.

You are the strong King who loves to be fair and righteous. You have made things right. You have brought goodness and fairness to Jacob.

The ocean is God’s. God created the oceans. God made the dry land with his own hands. Psalms 99: Come, let us bow down and worship the Lord! Let us kneel before the Lord who made us.

The Lord is our God, and we are the people he cares for, his sheep that walk by his side. Listen to his voice today:

Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, as in the day of trial in the desert.

Your grandfathers tested Me; They tried Me, and they saw My work

I, The Lord, was angry with that generation for 40 years. The Lord said: They are a people whose hearts turn away from me. And they do not know My ways.

So in my anger I, The Lord made this vow: They will never enter my land of rest.
