Old Testament
Psalms 11
1I take refuge in the LORD. How can you say to me: Flee like a bird to your mountain?
2Because look, the wicked bend their bow; they set their arrow on the string, to shoot from the shadows at the honest in heart.
3When the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?
4The LORD is in the LORD's holy temple; the LORD's throne is in heaven. The LORD's eyes watch closely; the LORD examines everyone.
5The LORD tests the righteous, but the LORD hates the wicked and whoever loves violence.
6On the wicked the LORD will rain down fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind will be their portion.
7Because the LORD is righteous and loves righteousness; the LORD's face watches over the honest.
